Kenneth Badish has high hopes for Lafayette's burgeoning film industry. At the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce's Business Over Breakfast yesterday, the founder of Active Entertainment predicted the region soon will have a "huge number" of good paying jobs that are not in the oil and gas industry. "I do think that this region, with the help it receives from the community and the talent pool, in five years will have a huge base for the entertainment industry," Badish told the crowd of about 300 business leaders. He says the community is working hard to get a stage built in the region so it can continue its growth in entertainment production. Badish predicts Lafayette can expect to see significant expansion in movies, television series, post-production and reality shows created in the community in the coming years. Badish has been involved in the motion picture industry for 20 years, and his company has produced and distributed more than 20 feature films.
